Can I share my CookShelf account with a friend or family member who lives with me?
Yes – you can sign in on multiple devices with the same account, so sharing with someone in your household is easy. Just use the same login on both devices and you'll share the same bookshelf, bookmarks, and cooking history.
We don't currently have a formal "family plan" with separate profiles, so you'd be sharing a single account. That means bookmarks, cooked recipes, and notes are shared between you.
If you previously signed up with Apple or Google (and so never set up a password), you can tap the Settings icon in the top right of the app, and then tap your email address under "Account Management" — you should see an option to set a password on this page. This won't take away your ability to sign in with Apple/Google; it just adds an additional login method.
If you originally signed up with Apple and opted to hide your email address, you'll need to login with the obfuscated email address that you see in the app (go to Settings and you'll see it there) and not your real email address.
