Can I give CookShelf as a gift? Or how do I redeem a gift?

Yes! We offer gift subscriptions. As a gift recipient, you can redeem your gift by following these steps:

1. Download CookShelf on your phone
2. Sign into the app, but don't start a free trial — tap "Redeem code" on the paywall (or, find that in the Settings menu if you've dismissed the paywall"
3. If you're asked what type of code, select "gift" and then enter your gift code

Keep in mind that gift subscriptions only work for people who don't already have an active subscription to CookShelf or Eat Your Books. If you receive a gift and have an auto-renewing subscription already, cancel your subscription, and when the current subscription term expires, you'll be able to redeem your gift.
