How do I follow other members? What shows up on my Home tab?

The Home tab shows what other home cooks are making: cooks of real recipes, with photos and notes from members like you. You'll see cooks from members you follow, plus community members' cooks from the books on your shelf. Tap a cook to see more, tap the heart to like it, the bookmark to save it, or add a comment.

To follow someone:

  • Tap their name or photo (on a cook in your Home feed, for example) to open their profile, and tap follow
  • Or, tap your profile icon on the top left of the Home tab, and then tap "Following" to the right of your profile icon, and then tap the + button on the top right.

Their cooks start appearing on your Home tab. To unfollow, tap Following on their profile. If someone follows you first, you'll see Follow back on theirs.

To find people to follow, tap the follower or following count on any profile, then tap Find people and search by name. Home also suggests members you might like to follow. To invite a friend who isn't on CookShelf yet, tap Invite at the top of Home and send them the link.

The bell at the top of Home holds your notifications: new followers, likes and comments on your cooks, and a heads-up when a book from your shelf becomes newly searchable. A dot on the bell means there's something new.

Seeing too much of one book? Tap the ⋯ menu on that cook card and choose "Show me less of this book." You can undo this anytime in Settings, under "Books you see less of."
